Hi there, I’m Makayla, the face behind the camera. Thank you for considering me as your photographer!

Born and raised in Michigan, I'm now based in North Carolina after spending a few years living in Hawaii. Many of the images you see throughout my portfolio were captured during my time on Oahu, where I had the privilege of starting my business.

I specialize in families, couples, maternity, in-home newborn and senior sessions. My style is natural, warm, and true to life. Photography has been a part of me since I was young, evolving from a creative outlet into a meaningful way to connect with others and tell authentic stories.

As a military spouse and first-time mama, I understand how quickly life changes. The days can feel long, but the seasons pass in the blink of an eye. Becoming a mother has given me a deeper appreciation for preserving the little moments. That’s exactly what I strive to capture in every session,  capturing the little moments of what matters most, just as it is right now.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me playing with my son, enjoying a cup of coffee, or cuddling with my dog.
